An ungodly amount of sprites. Not recommended. Might work with a good frame rate if you had few, large sprites.

  • Today I reckon I achieved this using func_dustcloud.

  • Looks pretty awsome, but I'm quite sure that hl2 has some "fake" volumetric light models. They Are used in the city 17 train station.

  • Beautiful, and not laggy compared to the Projected Texture method!

  • I use dust_mote to do that :D

  • What's there to learn? Just stick some sprites on the floor and in mid-air in a long line.
