One of my favourite things about your recordings, Rob, is the little smile that creeps over your face at the end -- an impish delight smile. I like to think it colours your very last note too. I mean, I think I CAN hear it.

Rob -- I recently purchased two of your books: Spanish Baroque and Easy Fingerstyle Studies. I looked at the Baroque book and see that the tablature is very clear.

I can't believe that this video has been up so long without comment. Something that I noted about MelBay books is that they scrunch the tablature so that it is difficult to read the numbers as they run together. I hope that the typeset is a bit wider on your book.

Very clear tab in this one, thankfully!

My next Mel Bay ukulele book is called The Bach Uke Book (out in the Fall/Autumn) and is largely duets for one uke tuned gCEA (i.e. regular tuning) and one uke tuned DGBE - either a baritone uke tuned that way, or the top four strings of a guitar. Some great music in that one! Really pleased with it. Any more questions, just ask, and see the Mel Bay site for my other uke books. I'm sorry that YouTube does not allow me to post direct links. Check out my site robmackillop dotnet.

Most of my books are for finger style, but I use a pick on these pieces, as that brings a bit more bite to the rhythm. Generally I use down strokes for accents, up strokes for weak beats. This helps articulate the rhythm.

Hi Jeff. Thanks for your comments. It is available from the Mel Bay website and some other places (via Google?). The Mel Bay site also offers a Download version, complete with mp3 files - but only to USA email addresses, for some legal reason. I'm really pleased with the typesetting on this one - very clear.

Amazon is out of your book -- is there another source?

Are you playing with a pick or with the nail of your index finger?
