The Arab League is divided over a Qatari proposal to send troops in to Syria. Tunisia's President has warned it could see violence flare-up across the whole region. The Emir of Qatar is leading the calls for Arab action in Syria to put a stop to the 10-month long fighting there. He was also a key player in the Arab League's role in opposing Colonel Gaddafi's rule in Libya. Meanwhile, Syria has announced a release for prisoners jailed during the uprising. This move complies with the Arab League peace plan, which Syria accepted in November. RT talks to Asia Times correspondent Pepe Escobar.

  • US-NATO is the jews proxy war machine for jew world conquest. Take any country US-NATO have attacked the last century and what the ALL have in common is that they are-was enemy of the jews. Take any country that US-NATO attacked the last century and ALL countries have three ting in common: Jews had-has zero control of banking, jews had-has zero political power and jews had-has zero control of “media”.

  • @alihaider1160 I don't see the yanks have the cojones to fight Russia, Iran & China who are all backing Syria. So the minute the Syrian Muslim Brotherhoodies and Al Qaeda BelHadj jihadis are eliminated by the security forces it's game over there. The Arab Spring will end up in epic failure for the CIA and Pentagon. US will continue losing influence in the region in favor of Asia. And the GCC tyrants will go down in flames.

  • It is more important to focus on the Palestinians.

    the Palestinians are really suffering

  • Dont know what you people are getting so worked up about. All the shit the US is doing gives Russia and China free passes to do whatever they want in the future. The world is controlled by old men behind closed doors.

  • Double-standards governance, rule, must be terminated.

  • Excellent interview.

I noticed self-righteous Americans posted bs, writing as if truly believing that their govt is better, rather than much worse, which is our real reality. The Syrian govt is a very unjust and brutal dictatorship, but the US, ie, Washington, NATO and Israel, are far worse. So, and since they act with hellish criminality, extremes, and do it with IMPUNITY, they really have no ethical or justly legal rights vis-a-vis other countries; not til they're all tried for their crimes.

  • @stevenbford1 You should be concerned about Wa«shington much more than you are about the Assad govt in Syria. Since Americans can't correct their far more criminal govt, Americans don't have much ground to stand on for preaching about Syria. Sure, it's a dictatorship and brutal, but the U.S. and NATO, as well as Israel, are far worse.

Calling for intervention by the worst criminal powers on this planet is not a solution and definitely isn't recommendable.
