  • Thank you, Pastor John. God has used you in great ways in my life. You always clear up the doubts and worries and tensions I have about the Bible, and you inspire me to hope in Christ again.

  • I dont sin because I like it, I do it because it feels good.

  • @ConfederatePatriot The key word here is CHRIST strengthens you. If you can "loose" your salvation you are not of Christ, he is not with you. This verse obviously pertains to christians not those who do not have salvation. Paul wrote this verse the "I" is Paul, a very influental christian at the time speaking about himself. This verse is talking about a believer's sufficiency THROUGH Christ not without Him.

  • @jbfutbol11 You keep your "beauty" and I'll keep the Truth. If you have any unrepentant sin in your life when you die... you can find out what happens.

"I can do all thing through Christ who strengthens me." - Philippians 4:13 ("all things" includes holiness. (sinners don't go to Heaven, saints do)

  • @ConfederatePatriot We are NEVER perfect, but God sees us as perfect due to the death of Jesus Christ, which only covered our sins NOT abolished them from our christian lives. If you were perfect after salvation, your salvation would be reliant on you. You are giving yourself the credit rather than God. You are saying that if you died without repenting of your last sin, you would go to hell. This is ridiculous because you are taking away from the beauty of the cross.

  • @BritneyAddicted4EVA “He that says, I know Him, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”- 1 John 2:4

  • @BritneyAddicted4EVA You're misunderstanding "perfection". When we repent of our sins, we are made perfect, like Christ (Christian). We do nothing but repent to gain this perfection, but we certainly can loose it by sinning anew.

“Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.”-Matthew 5:48

This verse simply means, Repent if you sin.

“I write these things unto you that you sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.”-1John 2:1

  • @ConfederatePatriot You are misusing the Bible. Like Christ we are indeed but we are not perfect. I advise you to re-read the Bible again. Christians can't and will not reach perfection before they either die and meet the Lord or the Lord comes during their life.

  • This is the man who believes that god has the right to slaughter women and children anytime he chooses.

  • The question answers itself. "Do Christians Sin?" Christian means like Christ. Did Christ sin. No. So if you were like Christ (Christian) than you would not sin.

“He that commits sin is of the devil.”- 1 John 3:8

“Whosoever is born of God does not sin.”- 1 John 5:18

“I write these things unto you, that you sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.”- 1 John 2:1

“Without holiness, no man shall see the Lord.”- Hebrews 12:14
