Join drummer Allison Miller in San Francisco, just hours before she took the stage with Brandi Carlile at The Fillmore! In between getting shots for Yamaha All Access magazine, Alli talks about how she became a drummer, what type of music she loves playing, and offers up some advice to future musicians. Plus hear a song off her latest album Boom Tic Boom!

  • I'm so glad I have had the opportunity to know and play with allison. Thank you Kutztown Jazz Studies :)

  • She's badass!

  • My drum teacher was a man named Durston Smith, who was the Director of Music at the Amityville school district on Long Island, New York. He let me borrow a copy of "Miles Smiles" by Miles Davis, and completely changed my whole approach to Drumming! Tony Williams was, and always will be an inspiration for decades to come.

  • Wow! On the Boom Tic Boom album I also like the track "Intermission" A LOT!!!

  • Great!!!Can't wait to hear more.

  • GOOD

  • @sparkles67 You obviously don't know shit! She really is DEFINITELY one of THE best female drummers out there today. I would know because I have taken many lessons from her and my teacher was the same teacher that she had. Until you have experienced all that she is capable of playing, then shut the hell up! She is da bomb!!

  • so cute....

  • Such a great drummer, the best I have seen live. And so, so hot, cool, and yes, SEXY!!!!!!!!!!

  • Allison Miller is ice cold on the drums. The drumming she did on Lonnie Smith's 2006 album Jungle Soul is some of the tastiest drumming I've ever heard
