  • Also, is it just me or did that "kicking at the door" scene not get shown in the actual movie?

  • @citrinestone When Dr. Jekyll asks for Mary Reilly that she goes to Farraday's house (Glenn Close).

  • This movie would have been so much better if they had just cast Glenn Close as Mary Reilly.

  • Until Julia Roberts played Mary Reilly, I had no idea Irish characters could have accents from Smyrna, Georgia. And John Malkovich looks like he's being forced to read his lines at gunpoint... the only good thing about this movie is that creepy whisper of "Mary Reilly..."

  • You think the movie is good? (It is, yes) Multiply this by 1,000 and you have the book. SO FREAKING GOOD.

  • What a bunch of shite accent attempts. Could never watch this.

  • Jekyll has a very sexy voice but he could at least try to put on a Scotish accent.

  • @Heofonfyr Hey, if you're still around, could you explain some of what happened in that cut scene? That is, if you remember. For example, why does it appear as if Mary is sitting on Jekyll's lap? How did she get there? lol! Take your time in responding. I'll be around in the future. Thanks!

I know where this takes place in the movie, because of the clothes she's wearing. But it's very different from the book, so it's anyone's guess what this scene's about.

  • i was just in this play! i was mary reilly.(: haha but jekylls first name is william in my play! wieerd

  • @citrinestone

I first saw Mary Reilly on television and the "kicking at the door" scene was shown. I bought the DVD and it is missing. It's annoying because I really liked that scene. :P

  • @jaekn I don't care,for me this movie is one of a kind!!!

  • @mjfreaklove This movie was box a critical and a box-office bomb. Awful...
