Beethoven was great,Mozart was a GENIUS.

Hmn.. I don't see why some people are being so anal about rather minute things. No performance is perfect since perfection is an opinion and not a fact. Contrary to the skeptics or critics, this piece has its own interpretation of how this piece should be performed. If there is a "problem" I'd say it might be perhaps the chorus at certain parts. You are doing well conductor. Give yourself a pat on the back.

This is a grand effort, but I can tell you guys need a bit more practice, and perhaps some study of other performances of this particular piece by more seasoned groups such as the Vienna Phil Harmonic, or the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. I can definitely see your potential, but surely you must concede a bit of trouble with timing and pitch here and there. I once sang this piece with Dr. Robert Shaw, and all in all, I can tell you are on the right track. :)

@Fuchury Dude. That's like comparing apples and oranges. To say that Mozart was a genius, and Beethoven was not only shows a close-minded ignorance on your part. Mozart was prodigious, and prolific in comparison to Beethoven, but Beethoven is unparalleled as regards emotional content and originality in every piece of music. I suppose the fact that he composed incredibly complex, and emotionally stirring music while completely deaf has no impression on you. LVB is genius incarnate.

@amnit2006 I think what josesito89 means is that at that point the sopranos sound as if they are sweeping up to the note rather than hitting it bang on - a common problem at the top end of the register. Otherwise I suspect any other quibbles are due to the quality of sound reproduction on youtube.

the orchestra was good...not to keen on the quality of the first violins...or the sopranos..tenors need work as well...soprano's are really out of tune throughout. I recommend not recording until practicing in a room with that much reverb...have the choir stationed closer to the conductor...less delay that way...
overall, good job!

The choir could be clearer... They sound like they are singing through cloth. Otherwise very beautiful, this piece is a favourite of mine.

amazing song, but the sopranos were flat... but overall not bad:)

Dobre ale jakoś mi te puzony przeszkadzają

sounds like not all sopranos getting the high pitches right :/ heard better performances, but thats not the worst I heard! BTW Folks get out, theres nothing bigger than experiencing this masterpiece life!

ES BELLISIMO¡¡¡
Oh and remember one last thing: There is always room for improvement for everything and anything that deals with art: poetry, cooking, drawing, singing, acting, photography, and so on. How well something is expressed and articulated is left to the performer.

I agree. It was highlighted by illusionarysound user too. We hope to perform better next time (actually we do already, but got no record to upload !). Btw, I do not fully understand what do you mean about the sopranos. Please let let us know: you comment will be kept in high consideration in order to improve us.

This is my favorite composer, so when I hear is music i am very critical, however i know from experiance as a soprano this is a very dificult piece to sing. so actually they didnt do that bad of a job for not a pro orchestra.
