  • well said. :) (sort of) XD tongue tied. I feel the same way. It's like I'm a guy at heart but have a girl's body. :P I know I'll get my top surgery some day but for now I'm just trying to find some descent binding. lol

  • As a ciswoman I feel that I have no right to comment on this. It is nice to hear a transgender individual to say this out loud. I work with many young college students and I'm excited for them when they start to find comfort in their identity. I also understand when you start to find the community which embraces you and sympathizes with your body dysphoria. -I also worry like mad about the young individuals who jump into all changes. Thank you for sharing your voice. It's nice to hear it.

  • Totally agree and it's something that worries me! The speed in which guys are medically transitioning! Thanks mate!

  • i think so too. its pretty ridiculous.

  • that's an awesome sweater.

  • Thanks for saying it. =) I agree. Also, I don't think it's just the YouTube community that pressures people to transition faster. It's in any community. It's human nature to want to fit in. We freak out when we don't fit in whether the discomfort comes from the external world (ie parents, peers, YouTubers) or from internalized issues. People end up seeking out the "answer" to fix their problems. The YouTube trans community offers answers abound. We're all exploring how to love ourselves.

  • It sounds like what you are talking is about has to do with the difference between transgender and transexual

  • I have to agree with you here. Thought it's usually not intentional, peer pressure still exists just from us seeing what other guys are doing. I've seen some guys on youtube vlogging and within a year of coming out as trans they're starting on T, and that got me asking myself if I'm just so far behind because of everything in my own life and feeling a pressure to start T sooner-but then when I stepped back I realized that I may not even want to start T in the first place, let alone that soon.

  • I totally AGREE with you!

  • I completely agree with you on this Chase! Not just youtube, tumblr, etc. though, I've read some stories of people saying 'so my friend transitioned and he is so much happier now so now I'm going to transition too' ..it makes no fucking sense. and uhm, angry birds IS epic. lol.

  • Yeah, I see this a lot on tumblr too. I follow people who are androgynous and who have not stated that they are trans, and I see them constantly answering questions from anons who are straight up like, "you are trans." Like WTF. Just because someone is androgynous and may truly be confused about their gender identity does not necessarily mean that that are indeed trans or that they may be looking to start transitioning. But it's like people are pressuring them to transition and come out as trans

  • @SkyelarPuberty its bullshit, honestly dont let it pressure you, do it your own way. i was confused thinking i had to quickly and i did, thank god it worked for me but it doesnt for a lot of people. im here if you need to talk! lol :)

  • the ftm community sometimes pressure me by sking when re you going to take t when re you going to strt surgery over and over
