  • nice, btw its pronounced En gard, not En gardeh

  • You should definitely review "Flash Duel" by D.Sirlin, new game quite heavily inspired by En Garde, but actually better.

  • En garday LOL

  • The little guys are fencers.

I've never heard of fencing as a board game, but it does look like fun. It looks very well thought out, with attacks, parries and ripostes; and even fleche in the advanced game.

  • Yep - great game! To play competitively, however, card memorization is indispensable.

Since I don't like that, my home-made copy has a double deck of 50 cards, 25 of which are randomly selected for each round.

  • En Garde is one of my favorite 2-player filler games. It's awesome, and I have the 3D French edition by Ferti.

  • Another great review. You've got me interested in this one now. Thanks Tom!

  • I've heard good things about this before, this definitely makes me want to check it out. Good review Tom.

  • my version of this has much bigger pieces i woudl say about 54mm scale and a fancy slot together diorama board, is that teh same rulese set as this one?
