Florida Tech was one of 30 schools from North America to compete at the ACM ICPC World Finals programming contest sponsored by IBM and held at Harbin, China, in February 2010. The team of Erdal Tuleu, Tim Mersch, and David King, all computer science students at Florida Tech, were awarded a wild-card berth at the world finals based on their performance at the Southeast USA regional programming contest.
