this drunk was rude and abusive to staff and customers for 20mins blocking the rope exit until the bouncer moved him.

@bennyboy234576 Hiya Benny! Where I agree the guy wasn't doing himself any favours by standing there. But the Bouncer had no legal recourse to push him and was way out of line irrespective of the fact that the guy may have been a pain in the ass, he was on public property if you look closer. Again people all talk about the 'What If' Factor regarding the bouncer, the flipside to that is the guy getting hit by a passing car which was a very big reality.

Glad the clubs have bouncers. Too many jerks out on the town to have to contend with them one on one. Be courteous, stay cool, and remain sober enough to know your social limits or stay off the streets. Nobody likes a loud mouth punk that thinks he can get his way everywhere he goes like he does at home over his mom. Bouncers are some of the few real men today who live within reality. I've never been offensive to nor offended by a bouncer. Glad to have them there doing what they were hired for.

@MajorGeneralAsbo Correct the Bouncer CAN be dione for Assault. Not quite correct on the public sidewalk issue. Often Bars get dispensations from local town and city councils to operate like this. It is usually given in circumstances where the Bar has ioutside tables and chairs or holding outside events that an extension of property is given.

@chjcnmc Totally agree. Yet, when your dealing with people who are so wasted, that they feel like they can get away with being total pr*cks. You tend to be get impatient with regular punters. I'm not making excuses for a bouncer to be a dick. I'm just saying, drunk/high people pick bouncers to take out their frustrations on because they feel like they represent authority! Then when they get a smack, or arrested, it becomes a "bouncer being a thug" attitude! Its a thankless job!

bouncers can be real assholes sometimes and i am not saying they all are

when they are on roids they get god complexes and they will act like real jerks but those type really don't last where i am from and many don't make it through their first week with out quitting their job but then again people are not jerks here so there is no reason for the bouncers to act that way but when they do they end up in a ally
