I've Been Everywhere (Johnny Cash acoustic cover)

This is a cover of a famous song called "I've Been Everywhere" that most people associate with Johnny Cash. It was actually wrote by Geoff Mack in 1959 and made popular by the singer Lucky Starr in 1962. The song (as originally written) listed Australian towns. It was later adapted for Hank Snow for North American (predominantly United States) place names and by John Hore (later known as John Grenell) with New Zealand place names (1966).

Johnny Cash didn't cover "I've been everywhere" until 1996. So much even though the song had been around almost 40 years prior to when Johnny Cash recorded it and had already been a #1 hit for other artists, most people today will still associate this song with Johnny Cash. I guess thats a pretty good indication of how BIG TIME Johnny Cash was.
