Definitely not Bjork. That's Carla Kihlstest the violinist singing...she sings in a lot of sleepytime songs but this one she is the main voice. check out like causing a tiger, two foot yard, book of knots, now you, and still you lay dreaming...these are all amazing projects she is involved in. Her work with pianist Satoko Fuji is also pretty amazing

I listen to this all the time, wishing that the museum would reopen its doors, anyone know why they stopped?

Sometimes I have the impression that is Bjork singing

Meets later period King Crimson!

@zol360 okay.

This song is about how refusing to learn from the past will only lead to a bleak and destructive future. The past is wasting away turning into ash. From the ash the present moment is formed. The present refuses to listen to the past's warnings or learn from its lessons. The future outright mocking the past by sticking its tongue out at it as it wastes away and disappears. And by turning it's back on the past we become more and more primitive. Like dogs. Damn I'm high.

My friend actually left a CD in my car with sleepytime gorilla museum on it, but I thought it was only the "Opening and Closing" CD until I heard this song, and I had not listened this this album yet so I thought he put some Bjork songs on the CD :P.

@clovengoatlord Ahh you beat me to it with the Björk reference.

Kind of sounds like Björk fronting a metal band...
Such a great song. I love how much chaos and tension they're able to build.
