i have a depth finder and gps.... i dont use them a whole lot... mostly just offshore to find a reef or bait... im not a tech guy... more of a feel guy... i just look at the lay of the land and do my best to judge... drop my line to the bottom and judge depth.... may not win any BASS competitions doing it that way but i just enjoy keeping things simple... not against them at all tho...ty

look for used on craigslist... you can find one from $200-400.... ocean kayak has been around for along time... you can find them alot.... i bought 2 old ocean kayak scuppers for $250 each... i saw a ok drifter for $200 not to long ago... academy sports carries a pelican 12' that new runs $350. not bad for a starter rig...ty
