It's perfectly fine for everyone to argue against the Turks and proclaim how great Vlad is etc. etc. but unless any of these people are willing to honestly say that they are willing to go back in time and live under Vlad's rule then they should really be quiet. How many of you are? As a third party student of history I should advise you all to actually do research into life under Vlad and life under the Ottoman regime to understand how foolish and biased you all sound.

correct me if i am wrong, but this guy is connected to G.W Bush by blood?

Yea, some guys want to talk about some romanian history but pick only the dark side of Vlad , and depict him as they see it fit to go along with the drunk irish's novel.

Seems to me that he was dealt a rather bad hand but played it as best he could. He fought to save his country, and his own life. He learned his methods from the Turks, and if they'd stayed in their own country, none of this would have happened. And yes, the guys in the documentary are just parrotting the old propaganda tales - remember, the victors can write what they like about those they have defeated. Except that the Romanian people appear to have kept their own tales about Vlad.
Am I the only one he thinks he seemed like quite a good lad?
