Nope , it's a '70. The 69's have raised tail lamps where the 70's have recessed. Also the 69's have 4 head lamps in front. For the most part the body style is identical for 69-70, with cosmetic differences. The most evident being the head and tail lamps.

I have a question. I can't find this on any other website, but I am restoring my first car (1972 Mustang Grande).. I have a 351C but can't find where the accelorator spring goes. The previous owner had it where it was interfering with the air cleaner. If you can help out thanks much.

It don't get any better than that. It's hard to believe that some idiots at Ford Motor company actually approved changing this gorgeous 1970 body style to that horrendous looking 1971 style. This was cool looking. The 1971 body style, especially the rear end, makes me wanna throw up.

my friends dad has a 70 cobra jet, numbers matching and the thing is ungodly fast,

Why did they put Windsors in Mach 1's? Mine had a 351 Cleveland and a friend had a 351W that was a puppy compared to my Big Dog, he wouldn't even think about racing me! Mine had 300 hp factory before a couple of add ons. 351W about 240 hp factory I guess. The 351 C is the best engine Ford put out in many minds. The Boss 351 is a Cleve w/bigger valves and the 428 Cobra Jet was a Monster that would scream on top end, another friend had one at the same time, so we could cruise 3- 70 Mach1's @a time
