Bismillah,

Muslims believe that Jesus (upon whom be peace) was never killed by the jews and in fact that he was NEVER Crucified.

Many hold the opinion that when the Romans came to capture Jesus, the leader who went in to make the arrest was transformed by All Might God into the likeness of Jesus. When he cam out of the home, the army immediately took hold of him and took him to the crucifixion grounds. All the while the transformed Roman was the one being dragged away.

THIS IS NOT A FUNDIMENTAL BELIEF IN ISLAM, The Quran states that

1. Translation by Allama Abdullah Yusuf Ali:
"But they killed him not, nor crucified him, only a likeness of that was shown to them."

2. Translation by Mohammed Marmaduke Pickthall: "...They slew him not nor crucified but it appeared so unto them;"

3. Translation by Professor Arthur J. Arberry: "...yet they did not slay him, neither crucified him only a likeness of that was shown to them." In the above English translations the translators have refrained from advocating any specific theory since Allah (SWT) has not mentioned any of the prevalent theories on the subject in this verse or anywhere else in the Qur'an. (I repeat "in the Qur'an").

Muslim scholars have in the past advocated more than one theory which can be also regarded as an applicable interpretations of the phrase "but a likeness of that was shown to them". As for an example, Sheikh Ahmed Deedat had written a well publicized booklet 'Crucifixion or Cruci-fiction' based upon the so called "Swoon Theory".
(The word "swoon" means; to faint). It is not my place to judge or to declare which theory is the Reality. All I am trying to emphasize is that since Allah (SWT) has not categorically declared "Jesus was substituted with another man", the factual translation should leave the doors open for the alternate theory or theories.

This Document showcased in said video is of "The Apocalypse of Peter" The story seems to tell of

The Savior said to me:
"This one, into whos hands and feet they drive the nails, is his fleshy part (, WHICH IS THE SUBSTITUTE BEING PUT TO SHAME.
The one to came into being IN HIS LIKENESS."

But he who stands near him is THE LIVING SAVIOR.

He stands joyfully looking at those who persecuted him, He LAUGHS AT THEIR LACK OF PERCEPTION."

This seems to fit the account, that Allah changed one of the guards to be "in his likeness" and was "the substitute being put to shame".

This in itself is NOT PROOF, but it is deserving of a closer look. As well as the Gospel of Barnabas.

Peace and Blessings be upon us all, and may we be guided towards the truth.

  • Concerning apostasy in islam:

(Deutoronomy 13:6-9) If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying: Let us go and worship other gods, do not yield to him or listen to him. Show him no pity. Do not spare him or shield him. You must certainly put him to death. Your hand must be the first in putting him to death, and then the hands of all the people.

What's up with the double standards?

  • 66 books? I thought it is 73! ah, sorry, Christians are confused about that.

lol, the Apocalypse of Peter or the Gospel of Barnabas don't contradict with the teachings of the bible. Jesus has plainly said that he came to fulfill the law and NOT to destroy it.

The only one who destroyed the law is PAUL who hated chritians.

Show me one bible verse where jesus has said that he is part from three, or where he said that he will be crusified for your dirty sins. Jesus still alive. was he acting?

  • This video just confirmed the Quran. Mashaallah, and praised be to Allah the Lord of the heavens and the earth!

  • @LdnGirl89 Because what they are saying is lies and deciet, there are THOUSANDS of lies that jesus didn't exist, went to china, didn't die, gay, married, ALL LIES FROM SATAN, he doesn't want you to know the truth, you can read the bible and see the truth, if you like truth.

Trust in the bible, it's all truth.

    matthew 24:24

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect

  • @MuslimGlobalAlliance that is old testament, jesus has come to fullfill the law, god has made a conveant through jesus christ, killing is a sin, even to punish, jesus teaches to love Mark 12:30-31 NIV

  • Sickk why didnt they put this story in the bible i might have been a bit more interested!!

  • All of the gnostic scriptures have one thing in common...they're completely different even from each other. Proof of their disqualification. Praise King Jesus and the Father for their sacrifce(s)!!!!

  • "Other gnostic writers".....so this them isn't an authentic Christian document that is being examined. It is a gnostic document, like the gospel of Judas, which has been proven to be false as well. Ooooo, more proof! Whatever

  • @ccarter010 I re-state: There is no mention in the Bible that Jesus was nailed to a cross, or that he showed his wounded hands and feet to anyone. John can say what he wants, but that's an inference you (and John) make. We all know that Bible was written by so-called inspiration and fable - it's a great story (at least part of it) but there's no evidence that there was a cross, or that nails were used. Crucifixion means a lot of things and the best research shows Jesus was probably hanged. Fin.

  • Seems odd to me that Peter would write that Jesus was laughing at his executioners when Matthews would write that Jesus said, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" (Matthew 27:46, Psalm 22:1). And then he writes about driving nails into Jesus' hands and feet (detailed description), but yet the Bible has no mention of a cross or nails. There is not one verse in the Bible that says Jesus was nailed to a cross or that says he showed his wounded hands and feet to anyone. What's that about?
