how heavy r the discs that they use, those look a lil heavier like 160g? i only have a few 100s 110 and a 175

@thingthing25 We're using a 160 gram Skystyler from Discraft, but any weight will do (also depending on wind;)

Do long/fake nails interfere with throwing? I personally find it uncomfortable to throw backhands with long nails.

You are right, but you will either get used to it, or find another way of throwing the disc to achieve the same spin. F.e. the helicopter throw. Use google to find out more about the "Helicopter Throw". Todd Brodeur has a whole lot of helpfull instruction videos online for any level freestyler (at ehowDOTcom)

I can't seem to hold a delay for more that a second, is silicone absolutely nesseccary?
z11223344 6 months ago
@z11223344
Silicon spray is only making the surface of the disc smoother. Your 1 sec delay may last another few seconds longer with spray. So for the time being: keep delaying, with or without spray (or water).
MAIN THING: is the amount of spin on the disc. The faster it spins the longer the disc stays stable.
2 more TIPS:
- Start by keeping the DISC ABOVE YOUR HEAD while delaying, so you can SEE if your finger is in the CENTER!
- Disc stops instantly when it touches skin (too much friction)
