Days of the week in Lojban pronounced and illustrated with stunning photography! As you climb the corporate ladder in Lojbanistan, your colleagues and secretaries will be blown away by your fluid ability to plan and schedule in their native Lojban vocabulary!

If you like the video, do not be afraid to either comment or rate highly. If you're excited about Lojban or anything else you could also subscribe, if you feel ready for such a commitment. Props to my wife for the idea for this lesson.

  • Wouldn't it be more culturally neutral to name them after numbers somehow? I just don't see how those make sense as lujvo in a logical sense. . . . .

  • @Sonarman77 Well different cultures and countries number the days of the week differently. There are two suggestions for the naming of days in Lojban, this being only one. I chose to teach this one because the number based system counts Monday as the first day, but in many cultures Sunday is the first day, so to meet in the middle we can call the names like most East-Asian languages!

  • @NegativeClock I see what you're saying, and it makes sense, but it just leaves me feeling a little uneasy about the relative arbitrariness of the selected "elements". What is the other system? PS: Thanks for such a fast response on such a relatively old video!

  • i still can't understand why schwa's pronounciation is important well.

is it important divide to schwa and 'a'?

  • "Lest"?

-- "You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means."

  • @NegativeClock Haha, love the description texts in your videos.
