A short documentary about rural crime in West Dorset. With a police car chase of oil theives, real footage of customs officers checking fuel in symondsbury, an interview with a man whose shop was burgularised in Chideock, and real footage of community support officers with their speed guns in Chedeock. • @joelwhitaker it was fine.

  • @edlawrence94 ok good. the police tend not to eforce it but technically blue lights cant be used on private roads either. This is because the police have jurisdiction over private land too.

  • @joelwhitaker don't worry, it was all legal and checked with the police. The car is mine, all the lights (except the headlight flasher) are not permanently fitted meaning that they can be removed (ie when on a public road) This was filmed on a private estate (private roads) so lights can be used. The roads were clearly shut off to ensure the safety of any public. Also, the siren was dubbed in as to not alarm anyone near by. I also checked with the police regarding the police uniforms. All legal!

  • @edlawrence94 Nice going pal. just thought you'd like to know: The ASP is never used unless the offender offers physical resistance which amounts to assault. and: it is actually illegal to display a blue flashing light on any vehicle when moving (stationary on a public road)unless it is a designated vehicle for emergency services use. dunno if you were aware of that?

  • @AgentMcgeek yes, it was easier at the time. I would of like to have done it outside infront of some cars however the only time the officer was available was at night so it was carried out inside

  • Is it me or did The Sgt Hughs chap take you into an interview room?

  • @Gavski3000 the exam went well

  • One slight fault. When the custom people are dealing with the red petrol dude toby says 'They asked for their faces not to be shown' yet they are clearly visable.
