"In Kenya, women miss 25% of their schooling because of their menstrual cycle." That's the Facebook status that caught the attention of an Ontario woman and her friend. So they decided to make 300 reusable pads for 30 girls in rural Kenya.

If you want to help sew pads please email me at bantwi@crossroads.ca
@CaskeyLee17 - The pads should last for at least 10 years so it's not forever. They can make their own but its the quality of the materials that's sometimes an issue b/c they're in a very poor community. While some girls use cloth others go without & stay home from school or work. There is an African organization of African women who make pads too. Check out afripads.com

Is there anyway I can get into contact with these ladies who are sewing the pads. I have recently rediscovered the joy of sewing and would love to put it to use for ministry in the world. I was very touched by this story.
