An example of how one simple soundsource can be used over all 8 tracks in the Elektron Octatrack to form the basis of one complete song. The trig mode Chromatic was heavily used to create the melodies and basslines. The realtime sampling is made direct and what seems to be a transpose done from the Monotron is just sampling a different pitch from it in realtime. All tracks originates from the exact same sample which is made in the moment. The last part resamples the first part and makes use of the random LFO to startpoint modulation to create a controlled mayhem.

  • Nice jam! So holding function & tempo means that the tempo change won't happen until you release function?
