Thanks for the detailed reply. I understand that you believe there was a mistreatment by a DM.
It has been my experience over 30 years with these two DM that they use the highest ethics, and act with the greatest overall benefits in mind. Others may have a different experience.
There is a saying in gambling, "Always Trust Your Dealer", which I abide with in this case, hehe!

That's fine if you are by yourself. They are talking about being with a group in gaming.
For example, walk into a biker bar, act hysterically, and see how far it gets you. Now, if you were with a group of travellers and did that, even if you survived, your "brand new learning experience" could endanger the group.
