Ray Lewis, a linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens (NFL) football team, and Laura Mitchell a College (NCAA) athlete recruiting professional, give tips on how high school athletes can apply for college athletics. ?One thing that I find student athlete?s do is they allow the lack of having letter build ? holding them to curve some thing. So, they just send a DVD and I wrote in here, Ray Lewis number five. So, you gotta put your number if the kids get back, actually, gets back. Hayden is great and putting in one of your best stacks is really ideal. Because if there is really a stock of 50 DVDs, and there is an assistant coach or there is a graduate assistant looking for a DVDs maybe they see a four for 40. They?re gonna pick up on this first and really they?re gonna watch this one. And they think of this one maybe because they got recruited first. The high school main is great, they?re gonna contact over your coach and then I also recommend this to kids but their phone number and the year they graduate because coaches recruit by year but keep it simple. You know, if someone is to work with us, good ? probably we?re gonna give him a professional DVD levels. I?m just trying to show you how simple it can be and how expensive to be for someone and it?s a simple level and also student application is a really short letter. Cover all the real important points. The GPA, your important stats and maybe what you are majoring about. And the first paragraph is what shows your personality, say something about yourself. Do you have three brothers? Are you the first kid in the family whose gonna go to college? Is your dad playing for a football team with a major super staring? There?s gonna be something about every kid that they put in that letter that makes them stand out. Male Speaker: If you wanna go to college, the recruiter is looking at everything you do as you. Whatever you send is you, so, if you?re a male, any kind of envelope, please have something spelled out in it correctly. If you spelled something wrong, they?re gonna think you?re illiterate. They?re gonna think that you?re not capable of college. You?re playing for college sports but higher academically. No matter what you do in your GPA, so, whatever you send remember it?s personal.?
