This doesnt look that good. Shenmue was meant to be based in real life. There was never any of this fireball nonsence before. I thnik it's good that they scrapped this game. Mabye they'll work on a proper shenmue sequel, until then i offically hate sega.

The reason why they decided to even do this game was the potential amount off money MMO's make over standard video games due to monthly subscriptions and things of that nature. But I imagine it got canned because the quality looked so daft

Ummm, you all do realize Shenmue Online has been cancelled right? There are countless sources out there as proof of this as well.
Simply type, shenmue online cancelled into Google or any other search engine. Shenmue Online has been cancelled. It's been cancelled since about 2007!

I just read that Yu Suzuki said recently this year that Shenmue Online is not cancelled and they are still working on it.
If they are still working on Shenmue Online maybe there is hope for Shenmue 3. :)
