  • Not a fail. Frank's thing is "backing talkward", or talking backwards in normal English. Note Frank greets the crowd with Goodbye. It's a Frank thing.

  • Frank ain't no Chris Thile--but more importantly Chris Thile ain't no Frank Wakefield. There are a lot of different approaches to the instrument, and Wakefield plays a big, bold note that knocks you flat.
