You are missing the point here guys - This is competitive Aikido and it was developed by Kenji Tomiki who was one of the early students of the founder of aikido Morihei Ueshiba, and also of Jigoro Kano, the founder of judo. Look it up and if you can find a club near you and have a go - after that make comments.

Wow it's not even aikido... I figured this wouldn't be a real tournament. After all how do make a something competitive when all you have trained for is to snap the guys arms, their could never be a tournament based aikido souly for the fact that you need an ukai. It's not like you slowly apply the pressure either like you can do in BJJ, you just snap it as fast as possible because you are standing up.
