having many friends in the phils,i donated a lot to food relief. so bad and so close to christmas too.the pictures of the children were the most painful to deal with. good video cebubutterfly,thanks

The image with the dad holding his dead child is horrible :( truly saddens me a person losing a child in any case, especially as horrible as this disaster. I hope you all stay strong as a country and help each other rebuild and regrow. I donate to charity's that fund the aid of such disasters like this but I just wished our governments would do a little more to help :( Western governments are to greedy though, they dont think about people's life, just how much income they make. truly sickens me.

I have a friend near you and I saw the aftermath from that tropical storm. Our country sent coffins with food and medical supplies.. God Bless Yall!!!!

I have heard quite a few times that a big factor contributing to floods and landslides, in the Philippines and elsewhere (notably Central America) is excessive and improper logging (often illegal, but under poorly enforced laws).
Do you have any thoughts on that?
