Arranged by Robert Fleming. Appalacian lullaby - I imagine a young child taking care of a younger baby brother or sister, singing and wishing it could play and get away from this baby-burden. Photograph by Lorna Easter of child in Laos with small baby on her back.

  • good eerie song :)

  • My daughter, Lorna, took this photograph. These children live in a Hmong village near Phonsavan, Laos, one of the most heavily bombed areas during the Vietnam War. After thirty years 78 million cluster bombs still contaminate the land resulting in injury and death, limiting agriculture and reducing villagers to a life of danger and poverty. Fifty percent of victims are children. Mine clearing operations are expectected to take the next 150 years.

  • You are awesome as always! Thanks!

  • Very touching song!
