  • My ancestor was the Lt. Col. of the 151st PA.

  • My ancestor was the colonel of the 151st Pennsylvania. He himself was actually a casualty. He was hit in both legs by a rebel bullet. He was carried to the Seminary for medical treatment and was the last patient to the leave the hospital there.

  • I had a family member that fought in the Civil War. He was captured at Gettysburg and was confined to Point Lookout, Maryland.

  • often by other men who were given some training by the mentioned VMI cadets and sometimes West point cadets. West point officers would instruct sergeants and then the sergeants would instruct the men.
