To clarify I love coach Rip just thought I'd clear it all up as I was just as curious as the rest of the viewers....Ronan seemed like more of a myth then a real person lol.

I know the story of "Ronan" via Glenn Pendlay's forum.
Glenn says Ronan was a friend of his who attended Midwestern University, he was a road racer not a track cyclist and according to Glenn a "pretty nice guy"
He squatted for high frequency 20 rep and 30 rep sets but never maxed at more then 315 according to Glenn. He's currently married and has quit cycling and now does web design. Hope this helps, proof is in the link
