This is the finals of the WFDA World Elimination Championships for 2005 held in Cripple Creek, Colorado. The finalist are Jim Vonfeldt of Oregon and Howard Darby of Alberta. The contest was best 3 out of 5 shots, and this one goes down to the wire with both shooters winning twice before the final "all or nothing" shot. Video by David Livingston.

In Fast Draw there are two types of ammo... wax bullets and blanks. This ammo is used for safety reasons. The ammo used in this contest was a .45 shell full of grainy black-powder. It's the unburnt powder that breaks the balloon.
