@theGazzelle You and I probably agree that ANOTHER LIVE was Todd and his original UTOPIA, save for Roger Powell I believe. I liked that live album much more than this (see my entry down below). Todd could be rather out of sorts at times, lackluster, and his updated UTOPIA lineup just doesn't have the virtuosos of 1974-75. There is however, and this goes out to everyone, a live version of THE HEALER with this UTOPIA and its truly awesome. Also, if you're kinda down, listen to THE HEALER.

Its hard to knock 'ol Todd & Utopia but when the only version you have heard of this song goes back to 1975's ANOTHER LIVE and its AWESOME Seven Rays, this live performance sounds and looks a bit unrehearsed. As a musician I will likely critique Todd more than most of his fans from a musician's point of view. I do know that Fender Mustang was used on ANOTHER LIVE, especially the whammy bar (that metal bar w/white plastic tip) which gave his solos that Egyptian Guitar God effect. Sorry Todd!

I saw this tour in Dallas in 1978. I remember this song just blew away me and my date.

Greatest song ever!
Nice performance, although I prefer The Midnight Special version with BIG band.

we were going to cleveland music hall back in like maybe 76. Todd was there. we gave the security guard like 4 joints of acapulco gold. he let us in through the side door. we were so fortunate to be able to see Todd Rundgren! We sat in the aisle and Todd had no band just a Reel to Reel and he sang the entire concert with that Reel to Reel. It was a historic event :). I loved A wizard a true star album which i got back like in 72 maybe for xmas from my sister and i gave her the jackson 5
