@Homelang1 No! I thank you. I'm really glad that you upload this film. I couldn't pronounce "ain" but now it's for me much easier and I do it a bit better. Thank you a lot!

it's hypocritical of me, seeing as i can't pronounce arabic for my life, but it's pron-UHN-ciation, not pron-OWN-ciation. english people get it wrong as well, so don't fret over it.

What type of Arabic do you speak? I thought water is pronounced 'maya' (but this is the Egyptian way?) thanks :)

@xuxifu: I'm teaching here the Modern Standard Arabic , also known as fu97a (فصحة)
and yes "mayya" is the word for the water in the Egyptian dialect

Excellent video, the best i have seen. Can i just ask is there i difference in the sound of hamza and alif, in other words the first two letters in the box. Thanks
TimeForKhalifa 1 year ago
@TimeForKhalifa : No, but take care. Alif alone does not produce a sound if not in the beginning of a word, it would act as a vowel. Hamza always produces the "A/OO/EE" wherever it is. other than that, if hamza comes on an alif, it produces the sound of a hamza.
