@denise7021 It seems that way too, it's random, no matter how god screened you are, these new marketed lasers don't really do good job. Some people end up good, other not. It is a sick world that FDA still keeps this legal. If you cannot screen or predicts such problems when pupils gets larger then the procedure is faulty and should be stopped. Why do surgery with random results, sick sick sick, all surgeons and all staff that work for them.

please continue to get the message out about the dangers of lasik. my life has been completely destroyed by dr. keon nia and the lasikmd staff here in canada. when I had problems after surgery with pain and very poor vision they did not have any solutions. my life has been ruined by lasik and I now searcj for solutions but believe I may have to just suffer the rest of my life. keon nia crippled me.

I believe the procedure itself is a problem, regardless of who performs it or how well your screened. It is well known lasik can absolutely reduce night vision and contrast sensitivity in anyone. There are documented incidences of traumatic flap dislocation. I have eye pain, ghosting, halos, less contrast sensitivity ect. all from lasik.
Dear Lasikruinedme: Don't give up hope. There are many doctors, specialty lens manufacturers and researchers around the world who are paying increasing attention to the problems facing the post-lasik community. The doctors at your lasik clinic had no answers because they are unaware of the specialty lens solutions that exist at the present time. Next year there will be more technological advances and the following year even more. So do not give up hope.

Today there are many different specialty lenses designed to take care of patients who have lost quality vision and comfort due to LASIK and other refractive surgeries. The newest scleral lenses designs create a liquid environment between the front surface of the cornea and the back surface of the lens. This environment protects the cornea and in many instances allows the dry corneal tissue to heal. In almost all cases, visual distortions, glare, flare and higher order aberrations are eliminated.
