Although I don't know if they wanted to circumcise him, he was born with hypospadias and they had it corrected. The foreskin is used for reconstruction. Hypospadias is where the urethra doesn't come out at the tip, but could instead comes out on the underside of the Penis. Depending on the severity, a boy may be forced to pee sitting down on the toilet and may never have kids. His may not have been that bad. About 1 in 300 boys are born with hypospadias, and that includes myself.
