Lara's first appearance, ten years ago - an awful lot has changed since then but exploring tombs, solving puzzles and discovering ancient mysteries still pulls in the crowds.

  • @TurtwigValley This was 1996.. Uncharted didn't come around until like ten years later.. of course this looks awful compared to now. But for its time the graphics were great.

  • One of the great things about this game is the scarcity of the save-points. From what I recall, you had to wait inordinate amounts of time before saving next. Modern games allow you to save, more or less, whenever you want, and that kills the tension. Without the fear of dying and the knowledge that you will be forced to play a large section of the game again, that tension evaporates. TR2 allowed you to save anywhere and thus I had no fear about losing any fights or failing to make a jump.

  • ITs really stupid to compare a game thats a playstation to a game thats a playstation 2 or 3...

Anyway Tomb Raider is the best of Playstation!

  • i miss this game, want to play it againt...i can remember the beginning :D after so many years^^

  • Is she shooting...bats?

  • Wow I bought the 1997 Fallout game and the graphics/controls in Tomb Raider seem way less confusing, watching it at least.

  • i am going to go and play this now

  • I Wonder If My Computer Can Run....LOL :)

  • Bring back the fear.

  • @BritRider27 Yes, it will be. It's just really weird, makes me wonder in 15-20 years, if the great graphics we have now, will resemble something like this.

  • @jmonae It's almost heartbreaking to watch this again and realise isn't it. It's amazing we were entertained by this stuff. But back then, this was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Everybody bragged about owning this game. Things have really changed a lot. But it'll always be a classic.
