why didn't you just put it in another Orbit sprinkler head?

Lots of reasons, I'll give you a few. Orbit brass or sprinkler heads are huge water wasters. Most of the time the internal rubber seal leaks water past the shaft. If they aren't installed level the plunger sticks in the pop up position & they are then invariably mowed off by the lawn guys. Finally, they don't have filter screens, so any small piece of trash, rust, or even rocks plug off the orifice in the nozzle. I could go on and on, but any chance I get I change out Orbit.
