Before "reality television", there was RealiTV.
Part 4of10 from inTRIKat's RealiTV-2 by Chad Johnston, VHS, 1991.
--This video had the perfect balance of all types of riding, music and creativity, with the limitations of technology at the time. To me, it signaled the dawn of a new era or rebirth of freestyle from the west coast perspective, or any perspective outside of York, PA. In it find some of the earliest footage of Pete Brandt & Jesse Puente, vintage Velo comp clips, a Chris Day tribute, laid back street riding, a wide range of dorking, Greg Higgins' artwork, a 2-hip KOV comp, and RIDE's (before the mag) "judge not" flat comp with Jesse, Chase G, DMC, Perry Mervar and Bill Nitschke (the first guy to pull a whopper, it's in there). Pete B's also captured coasting down the Streets of San Francisco doing a hitch-hiker on fork pegs that were at least 2 inches above his axles.
