Not true. The U.S. dollar is not a safe bet. It is backed by nothing but debt. As for oil, Iran and some other nations stopped trading in the U.S. Dollar. It is rapidly falling. The Petrol currency many be the Euro or another currency. If you are in dollars right now - GET OUT. Buy precious metals or hard assets. Silver is still a great play and is severely undervalued. Gold if you can afford it. Be prepared.

@AleXGT7 kind of seems like humanity is living on borrowed time, and all of this stuff is just proving that humans are destroying themselves and the Earth, their source for survival. whether its the dollar or another currency, its constantly conflicts and problems, that are man made, and don't work...so we just have to expect the worse no one wants to go back to the natural way...materialism/selfishness has taken over.

@clearasvodka hmm I think humanity is headed towards economic depression, and world war 3...food shortages...riots...rebellions­...things like that...even with the new currency whether than the amero or rfid chip, it won't work...perhaps the human population will lessen when people are fighting over what's left, jobs left, food left, clothes and homes, left...but by then, climate change, and nature changes will be so intense...
