Do these particles begin stationary? Is the center of the screen the center of mass of the system? if so, why does the 'star cluster' drift away from the center of mass, increasing the system's total energy?

Hey, I have a basic 3d sand box I made, and would like to do this sort of thing and was wondering if you used real gravity calculations etc or if they were faked (ex of fake : gravpull += -.9 then loop). And if real, would you up for sharing some insight.

Jose Suarez has defined gravity as having two subfields. One excursive which serves to repel other worlds and to establish their orbital corridors where they are impeded from invading neighboring world's orbits, and gravity as incursive, which serves to coalesce and unify matter towards a concentric point from whence it originates. Both field accrue presure starting at the plane of the exosphere but in opposite directions at a rate of .0735 pounds per sq. in. per mile of expansion.

First, where did you get the model software or did you make it?
Second, what is the mass of each particle? are they constant? What is thhe distance ?
thrird, is this a 2d or 3d model?
Hi flipmster,
These were just a few experiments I did a while back when thinking about gravity and particle simulations for a while. I wrote the code to do it. It was fairly quick and dirty. I only dealt with 2d, and I remember having to tweak the parameters of the functions a bit to get something that looked right. The particle masses were randomized, represented by different sized particles in the video.
