Nothing Else Matters ~ Ch. 43 "Only for tonight"

I absolutely love the song in the video! I'm kinda obsessed but whatevs. I wrote a song today and I had to write it in my planner from school. Haha. But it came out kinda bleh. So I'm trying the naming thing again. I'll see how it works out this time. And it's kind of a boring chapter. Oh, and I have a new background. Go check it out!

(Rebecca's POV)
I walked up to the woman at the front desk. She greeted me with a smile and "Hello." I half-smiled.
"Hi. I'm here for Kevin Jonas and Xander Matthews."
She looked through the papers and inspected one of them. "Are you Miss Turner?"
"Yes."
"They are both in room 127. Go through those doors and turn left. The room will be on your right."
"Thank you." And I went through the double door. I followed the woman's instructions and reached room 127. I peered in the little window. I saw Kevin and my heart broke. He was so hurt. I opened the door and gently closed it. I quickly ran over to my unconscious boyfriend.

Kevin was a bit beat up. His left arm was in a cast and there were cuts and bruises on his right arm. There was a cut on his forehead that was stitched up. I ran my fingers along the stitches and the tears spilled over.

I walked to the other side of the bed and grabbed Kevin's right hand. I lifted it to my face and pressed it to my cheek. I cried for a while and then kissed him lightly on the lips. I turned around and pushed the separating curtain out of the way. I gasped. And I thought Kevin looked bad.

Xander had a cast on his arm and leg. His head was bandaged with a blood spot on the side. He had cuts on his face and arm. "Oh my god," I whispered. Suddenly, the door slammed and I turned to see a male doctor in his thirties.

"Hello, ma'am. Are you Rebecca?"
"Yes," I shakily said.
"I'm Dr. Reynolds." He stuck out his hand and I shook it.
"Are they gonna be okay?"
"Well, Mr. Jonas will be fine. He just needs to stay here for about another day until he's well enough to leave."
I let out the breath I had been holding in. "And what about Xander?"
The doctor sighed. "He's in a more critical condition."
"But he's gonna be okay, right?"
"We don't know right now." I buried my face in my hands and cried. They didn't know? But they had to know! Xander had to be okay! "Miss, I'm going to need to ask you some questions."
"But I wasn't there."
"I still need to. How are you related to them?"
"Kevin's my boyfriend and Xander's a good friend of mine."
"And how are they related to each other?"
"They're best friends. Doctor, what happened?"
"It seems as if these two were driving and crashed into another car. Apparently, the driver of the other car became distracted and crashed head-on with them," the doctor explained. He went back to writing on his clipboard.

I turned back to Xander. I grabbed his hand and whispered, "You're going to be okay." I kissed his cheek and waited for a response but he continued to lay there, motionless. A tear escaped my eye and I turned back to Kevin. To him, I whispered, "I love you," and then kissed his lips.

I asked the doctor, "Can I stay here with them?"
"Yes, but visiting hours will be over soon."
"Can't I stay the night?"
"I'm sorry ma'am but I cant let you--"
"Please? Only for tonight."
The doctor sighed. "Okay. You can stay the night. I'm gonna go talk to the nurse so she knows you're in here." And with that, he left.

I looked back at the two men I loved. Kevin was my boyfriend and I loved him with all of my heart. Xander, on the other hand, was like an older brother and I loved him as well but only in the brother-sister way. I needed both of them. And as I looked at them in those hospital beds, I began to cry again.

I finally realized that I had be strong for them. I wiped away the tears and straightened myself out. I pulled a chair up to Kevin's side and sat down. I held Kevin's hand in both of mine. I kissed it and then laid my head down on the bed, facing Kevin. I closed my eyes and thought, 'Would they both recover?' And I fell asleep.

So will they be okay? Will Rebecca ever stop crying? No, I'm kidding.

What's your favorite sport? Least favorite?

I only ask cause today we played indoor soccer and I absolutely love soccer. I may not be good but I love getting hit. I'm dead serious. And my least favorite is basketball. I suck so bad. Haha. Well comment! I love reading them!

this was a sad/sweet chapter, awe. lol well i dnt play sports, im not very outdoors-ey lol. but i luv watching basketball!!!! my bestfriend's games r the most fun to watch! he rocks! football is cool 2
