  • where in moldova is this?

  • @Catheeeeeeeeeeeeeee

The city footage was in Chisinau (the capital) and everything in the country was shot in Zberoaia (my brother's village in the Peace Corps). The stuff on the train was from our trip leaving Chisinau and heading across the border to Bucharest in Romania.

  • hey...if will ever be in Moldova again ..!! this is my mail sergiu.cotaga@yahoo.com don't hesitate to rite me...will hang out..or get drunk :))

  • @Cotsaga

My brother had been living there for 2 years as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer. I was backpacking throughout Europe and met up with him to visit his village and get a glimpse of what he'd been doing.

  • Follow-ups: My reference to Moldova Noasta in no way suggests any affiliation or support of the said political party. Any inference that was/is/will be made by viewers suggesting that I (or my brother) was mocking or making light of Moldova's or any Moldovan's situation (be it good/bad, village/capital, etc) is purely their own misunderstanding. That's not the case. Lastly, my apologies for mispronouncing Russian words. I speak limba noastra and my Russian leaves much to be desired. -Daniel

  • I am Daniel - it was my dramatic monologue at the end of the film. Thanks to all for the nice feedback and the constructive criticism. Multumesc si Большое спасибо.

I lived in Moldova from 2005-2008 and it became my home. I visited America a few times, but always came home to Zberoaia, Moldova. I love Moldova. Moldovans are some of the hardest working, dedicated, genuine, beautiful and loving people I ever have met. Not a day goes by when I don't miss Moldova Noastra. Cele bune.
