One of my favorite of Toni's songs. This original version is much better than the remixed version on their "best of" cd. After reading her blog for a while, I developed a great deal of admiration and respect for Toni. She is a very intelligent and wise person. She and Daryl benefited from being in their 30s when fame came, and thus better able to deal with it than some of these teenagers.

The last time I heard this, I was a kid, at least over 25 years ago because I never remember what the name of the song was on the flipside of Love Will Keep Us Together.  I remember liking it as a kid, and after hearing 25 years of music, then hearing this again...it still sounds hip in 2011. I like it more now than I did then, I just learned. I could even hear it being used for some of those cool dance remixes on Sirius BPM. :)

@calcorrfan I agree. This version (found on "Love Will Keep Us Together") is far superior to the version that later appeared on "Keeping OUr Love Warm". But Toni says she wrote it to sound like the latter version, which is why C& re-did it.

@calcorrfan You are so right. I couldn't agree with you more. I developed a great deal of admiration and respect for Toni in the summer of 1998 when I bought their "Greatest Hits" tape and kept playing it over and over and couldn't stop listening to it. She has such a soothing voice and she's also a very lovely person.

I agree with you 100% about these teenagers. When fame comes to them, it goes to their head.
