  • directly to Jan Smuts airport LOL

  • @alastairjr40 It was shown in a kids TV time slot in Australia and I saw this episode multiple times. There are claims of some controversy in Britain made on Wikipedia.

It is interesting how it mocks racism but at the same time the Goodies characters don't offer objection and even give somewhat of a nod to racist views. Their stand as writers is made explicit later in the episode (if not earlier) with the introduction of ApartHEIGHT by the characters when they go to SA.

  • lol sambo enterprises

  • This would've been controversial in the 70s.

  • feckinn fantasti brilliant

  • I saw this back in 1975 and laughed my guts out as an eleven year old but then did some study into south Africa and found out that the south "Ifrican" society was really like that.Loved the lion. Later on they had APart HEIGHT and of course bill oddy and all the jockies were second class citizens.Brilliant social commentary that opened your eyes.
