In this case, instead of starting with a Mesh primitive, we'll start with a rectangle and create a smooth shape.

  • I found my mistake; I mixed the the smoothness with the primitive approach to create a mesh.

    Great tip!

  • I am using autocad 2012 and I did as instructed in the video. but when I hit the smooth object button I get the following information:

‘A smooth mesh cannot be created from at least one of the selected objects.

Smooth meshes can be created only from 3D solids, 3D surfaces, 3D faces, polygon meshes, polyface meshes, regions, and closed polylines.’

    any help on this?

  • AUTOCAD 2010 IS ANOTHER THINK THAN 2009 o.o
