The OPT was the 'Old Purple Tin' of Tennent's Superlager, a one-time rival to Carlsberg's gold canned superlager.
I was in Goa the year before and bought this as soon as I heard it, so I have a once-played [and ripped] 12" single of this and 'Mao Tse Tung said' to be upped to Ebay cos I need the money. One thing's for sure - no consciousness raising going on in Goa in 1994 so who knows what's being raised there now.
By the way, if you ever get the chance to see the Alabamas live, take it.

I'm way up there in Scotland too - saw them at the Carling Academy with my pal Danny and my son who was about 16 or 17 then. He loved it - I lost him to the mosh pit after about ten minutes! Waiting for a chance to get my 14 year old daugter into an A3 gig sometime soon.

@enterprise1954 .. ha..yes seen them at carling too....funny thing , before concert , thought we had found a cool wee bar . called .....enterprise..turns out it was full of slot machines......oh well . the alabama's made up for it......take it easy my friend.....and hello from prestwick.....
