hey my old jazzmaster.. i sold it to dirk a few years back and hope they're both doing well.
j probably broke a string or maybe he's just used to playing on toms, i dunno.. i'd bet the bridge didn't just blow through six strings and pop out. that's comical.
kinda doubt so many incredibly interesting musicians would play these guitars if they were crap. if anything they're completely inspiring if you take the time to know them.. the less who bother the better though, keeps the prices down.
No accomplished guitarists? How about Nels Cline? He's a formally trained Jazz guitarist, and is recognized as one of the top modern guitarists by several publications. He plays with Wilco. Look him up. Also look up The Ventures. Jimi Hendrix played a Jazzmaster for a while, as did Pete Townshend, Eric Clapton, and many others. You're an idiot. Stick to your boring and Strats and Les Pauls.
It's hilarious how defensive you're getting over this. Ever notice how there is a total lack of accomplished guitarists or virtuosos playing this guitar? There's a reason for this....The Jazzmaster is notorious for it's horrible bridge and crap electronics. Don't even think about saying otherwise. People only play this guitar because it was cheap and it looked cool after Cobain and Frusciante played it.
BTW The E string popped out of THIS bridge. That's why he switches guitars mid song....
Yeah, I'm sure the Jazzmaster bridge just "popped out" with 6 strings holding it in. What the fuck are you talking about? I have 3 Jazzmasters, and I have ZERO problems with the bridges...

Fuck that, Jazzmasters FTW. He just couldn't handle the extreme RAWK that night, and had to switch to a lesser instrument...($trat)
