I was one of the "M.S.s" that worked in this galley 30 years ago. What a long strange trip it was. Looks pretty much the same. Cross deck @ the hangar deck ladder starboard side was the bake-shop & baked -goods storage. On the port side was the "spud locker". Below the mess-decks was "Disbursing" & the cook's sleeping compartments.

I was one of the last cooks on the MIdway, we had so much fun in that galley it was a shame, but if the D.O caught us man were we in big trouble. Midway Magic Forever MS3 Harris 1990-Decom

I ate many a meal in that mess halll. The floor is still the same as it was when i was onboard from 79-83. I never had roast beef and rice prepared so many different ways lol
