(Printing starts at 0:40) 4x6 first pictures. Costco "Kirkland" photo paper. Canon's printing software. Little over a minute total to print, lot less for the actual picture. Note: this was a 169 kb picture! It was edited and saved to be used in emails and on the web, not for printing. Yet it still printed up beautifully. I am experimenting with the iP4700 to to use the "German Method" of refilling to save money on the cost of ink. These first pictures though are of course using the OEM cartridges of ink supplied with the printer. Later I will be using Hobbicolor bulk ink (5CLP 5-Color Large Refill Kit available on ebay) along with a chip resetter (http://goo.gl/c309) to refill the cartridges.

My contributions and involvement in discussions for this printer are at this great site (nifty-stuff.com Inkjet Printer Forum): http://goo.gl/p2oW

Hi, when I printed my photos on my canon printer (a MG4260), on a gloss 4x6 photo paper, it looks like it is covered by a layer of white fog (or dust). And it is very easy to be seen on black parts of the photo. also gets worst near the end of the printing of the photo. :( Do you have any idea about what is going on?

Sorry, no idea why that would happen. My iP4700 continues to perform like a champ using costco "Kirkland" paper and refill ink gotten for eBay. Maybe there is a MG4260 forum you can find to answer your question. Good luck!

WOW!!!!! One of my rollers broke, and it's an older printer, so it is pretty bulky as well.

I know, right! My canon printer lasted about three-four years, and my canon camera is the best camera I've ever touched!

I found what was wrong. There is a box about "auto correct colors" and when i uncheck it the colors come out very much same as on my screen, no more saturated! But after 10 A4 and 25 A6 size photos i got my first warning about ink levels. What a shame! This inks costs 60-70 euros and 20 pages of pro platinum A4, 21 euros.

Thanks for your reply. I bought this printer and the most expensive photo paper. It is good but soon stop use it because i cant handle the colors right. They come out over saturated
